Please note that the next meeting of the Parish Council will be at the Village Hall on TUESDAY 26th November and not Wednesday 27th as previously advertised. This is a one-off change, and the following meeting in January will revert to its traditional Wednesday evening slot.
Northern Powergrid has given notice of planned work to provide electricity to the new housing development site on the Main Road A684 to the west of Brigadoon. New cabling is to be installed between Greenacres and the new development, with work starting on 18th November and continuing for five weeks, between the hours of 8.00am and 5.00 pm. Temporary traffic lights will installed, and there will be three-way lights in place during times when they are working across the entrance to Greenacres.

Following the recent incident that sadly resulted once again in damage to the Swale Bridge, we have been advised that plans are now in place to recover any salvageable stone from the river in the relatively near future and that engineers will then look formally to assess the damage and to identify what work needs to be carried out for a full repair.
