Population Data From 2021 Census - part 2.jpg

In 2001, there were 529 residents in the Parish, a figure which then grew by a mere 7 to just 536 10 years later. However, by 2021 that number had risen by a further 125 to 691. At the time of the census, just over half (53.15%) were aged 50 and older, and there were 12 female residents in the parish for every 10 males. Just under one in five residents (17.9%) were aged 17 or younger. To see how these figures compare with those for Hambleton as a whole, please read on.

Between the last two censuses (held in 2011 and 2021), the population of Hambleton increased by 1.7%, from around 89,100 in 2011 to around 90,700 in 2021.  The population here increased by a smaller percentage than the overall population of Yorkshire and The Humber (3.7%), and by a smaller percentage than the overall population of England (up 6.6% since the 2011 Census). In 2021, Hambleton was home to around 0.5 people per football pitch-sized piece of land. This area was amongst the lowest 2% for population density across English local authority areas at the last census.  Population growth was lower in Hambleton than across Yorkshire and The Humber as a whole.
